Sinead Gregory

Sinead spent seven years in the United States and then returned to Ireland, where, by her early thirties, she became a respected novelist.

I emailed Sinead these stories in manuscript. She wrote back to me the following day; she didn't tell me if she liked them or not, but commented on the portrayal of her:

"I was twenty-one when these events occurred. I suppose it is very easy at that age to appear stupid when one is not. I do not think I was a vapid little twit, but I was certainly very immature."

Sinead told me she married her American boyfriend, but the marriage lasted less than two years. She left the U.S. after their divorce and has returned only for brief visits.

She says she is at work on a novel based on the life of Ken Copeland.
